Faith Counseling
To be totally clear, we are not talking about therapy, but as a faith counselor, Ivey will work with you in all things related to your faith.
- If you have questions, she will work with you to find answers.
- If you’re unsure why certain Bible passages strike you as odd or uncomfortable, Ivey can work with you to discover why.
- If your heart is troubling you or you’re questioning some part of your faith, Ivey can work with you to find comfort and peace.

Journaling Evaluation
There are dozens of studies that have shown that certain journaling practices can help improve your mood, help you attain goals, and even enrich your faith!
Journaling about your faith journey is another way that can bring you closer to God in some pretty incredible ways. In the right “head space,” which many call meditative or mindful, God can present Himself to you through your pen or keyboard. The key is knowing what your words are and what His are.
There really isn’t a “wrong way” to journal, BUT, there are things you can do to help settle your mind and make the most of your journaling time.
The important thing is to just write: Typos, random thoughts, “rabbit holes….” don’t stress them. Just write! Don’t let details get in the way of what you’re thinking or feeling, then work with Ivey to help you better connect with your words, your faith, and you conversations with God!

What Are Your Words, and What Are God's?
What is God saying to you? How do you know when His words are coming from you? God isn’t hiding from you! He’s not playing hide-and-seek! His presence is always. We’re just too busy being busy to pay attention!
When journaling, you may find yourself writing what seems like a stream of consciousness….like you don’t know where the words are coming from. More often than not, that’s Him!
Sometimes we look at something we wrote and wonder, “What does that even mean?” or “Is the answer really this simple?”
