Psalm 128: 2
When you eat the fruit of the labor of your hands, You will be happy and it will go well for you.
Work, labor, is not a thing to be reviled but rather celebrated. The psalmist knew that by the labor of our hands we would be satisfied. Now, we know that we are to be co-laborers Christ. We abide and labor in divine partnership in everything we are called to do be that blue collar, white collar, as parents or volunteerism. As Christians, that may give us an even greater cause for celebration. I hope this Labor Day you enjoy your selection as Christ’s partner and co-laborer!
